WHO WE ARE

Acts is a 501c(3) non-profit missions organization. We began operations in 2019 with the passion to reach the unreached by bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth as the final fulfillment of the Acts 1:8 great commission, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

WHAT WE DO

The mission of Acts is to train and equip indigenous leaders for the planting of churches among their own unreached people groups throughout South Asia. The ultimate vision is the multiplication of churches until there is a church within walking distance of every person in Asia. To achieve this vision, Acts operates training centers in South Asian countries where local leaders are equipped with pastoral and church planting disciplines.

The strengths of the Acts program are the replicability of the training centers and the approachable curriculum. Most of the Acts training centers are located within a local church. The pastor of that church is often the Acts director and primary trainer of the curriculum. The Acts curriculum contains ten subjects found in most pastoral degree programs; however, they are written and translated so that under-educated leaders can still understand and learn the foundational principles of church planting.

“Acts training has opened my eyes to see the practical meaning of the scripture in a very Asian context.” 2018 Acts graduate

Upon completion of Acts training, most graduates seek to plant a church in a village or area where there are no churches. Some graduates actually begin the church planting before their Acts training, then return with greater knowledge and vision as they reach their communities for Christ. Successful completion of Acts training directly impacts their ability to evangelize and grow the body of Christ.

“Now that I have finished this training, I felt that nearby our village there is another village called Aali. There is no church and they need to hear the gospel. So by the grace of God, that is where we intend to go and plant a church.” 2017 Acts graduate

WHAT WE BELIEVE

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; 2 Peter 1:1)

We believe that God created humankind to exist in relationship with Him, but because of our rebellion, we are separated from God, and no amount of human effort will restore that relationship. We are now fully dependent on God’s saving grace to restore fellowship with Him. (Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1)

We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His present rule as Head of the Church and in His personal return in power and glory. (1 Corinthians 15:3-7; Philippians 2:5-11)

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith alone and regeneration of the lost by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential to be saved. (Ephesians 2:5, 8-9; Titus 3:5)

We believe in the present ministry of the person of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life, and to overcome the attacks of the Evil One, Satan. (Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:16-24)

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. (John 5:25-29)

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, with equality across racial, gender, and class differences. (Acts 17:26; Galatians 3:28)
